RE: - PANZER (ALL Variants Ie PzIII, PzIV etc) PICTURE ONLY THREAD !
Ok, don't laugh too much. This STUG was my first attempt at any kind of model painting/airbrushing since I was a child. I notice there is a spot or two that needs touched-up where the primer didn't get fully covered by the base coat... (The joy of photos.. bring out stuff you might miss!!). It's not modeled after any SPECIFIC Vehicle, but is "loosely" based around the Kursk engagement in '43.
She's not perfect but we all have to start somewhere

Hell, if it was "perfect" from the factory I'd not of taken the time to improve upon it
By perfection of course, I meant me being completely satisfied with my work. The pursuit of perfection drives one to always raise the bar with their work. Something never achieved, but always striven for.
I had a lot of fun doing it, and I've been doing 1/35th scale tanks as well. I'm looking to kit bash a T-34/76 for my next 1/16th project

This is my first RC tank (thank you guys for all your advice on previous posts!). It is the HENG LONG PANZER III early model L. It is modelled after the Company Commander's vehicle of the Deutsches Afrika Korps Kampfgruppe 10th Panzer Division, 7th Panzer Regiment. It is based on photos of the actual vehicle taken on the February 22, 1943 during Operation "Sturmflut". This model will be in an upcoming issue of MILITARY MODELCRAFT INTERNATIONAL model magazine, so all details on its build and painting will be in that article (apparently Feb or Mar 2010). Thanks also guys for all the other wonderful pics on this site that just MOTIVATES (my TAMIYA PANTHER is now well underway in the painting stages!!!) - Harvey Low

Gentlemen we have a winner! (lol) Absolutely stunning. I"m looking forward to reading that article. I'm St Kitts. What part of TO are you from? You should hold a oneday workshop to depart some of your detailing knowledge. I know I would attend

Yep, I am a Cannuck in Toronto (midtown) and a memebr of the local Plastic Modelers Chapter (I dont know if ther is an RC club here as I am new to this aspect of "tank warfare" . Cheers

you're welcome. I've been a member of the local chapter in Niagara for the last couple of years. I've learned alot from the guys there. and they always seem to get a kick out of my tanks when I drive them around the table as we are showing off our most recent projects I know I could learn alot from you. As for the commanders they are just the 21st Century 1/18th scale action figures with a little painting and weathering. You can pose them to many different positions like my gunner.
