Default Tank Zone UK??

Has anyone had issues with Tankzone? I have tried to contact them several times to see the current status of my order.

Regards,

Merle,

I ordered a part from Tank Zone about 2 weeks ago.  Ordered on Thursday, and it was here on Tuesday.  4 days.  Just wanted you to know that they are still doing good for some of us.  Keep after them, their worth the trouble.

If its in stock your fine if its out of stock you will still get it but it takes longer it can say in stock on there web site but if someone else buy's it just before your order has been finished your order is now on back order .

Well looks like Tank Zone(UK) is dinking around with me to..ordered some parts over 3 weeks ago and still nothing and no response to my emails(although other orders from other UK suppliers at the same time have long since arrived). Then I ordered some parts on ebay not knowing that it wasthe same guy I was havingproblems with, so I filed a claim on them, and come to find out the the ebay seller "tankworkshop" is the same guy that runs tankzone(His name is Kin), so now I have two pay-pal claims filed on both orders against him and he STILLhasn't responded. Seems very odd considering he has a great website and fairly good feedback. As far as I am concerned I will never do buisiness with tankzone again as their customer service is bankrupt! On the other hand you have a company like : http://www.welshdragonmodels.co.uk/index.aspwho have GREAT customer service, prompt communication, and very quick shipping and I highly reccomend...

Just thought I'd let you know that the UK has ground to a halt because of bad weather.

A lot of stuff isn't getting delivered because the roads are too bad and are going to get worse because we're running out of grit for the roads.

So if your stuff is on back order then the chances are that TZ are still waiting for it to be delivered to them.

you could be right...but bottom line he could send out an email saying "due to bad weather all orders might be delayed a bit" or something like that....He's been able to get online to list new ads on ebay(I checked), so he has the ability to answer a dam email...Another problem I have, is thatif he is going to sell stuff he doesn't have in stock, then he needsto make that perfectly clear on the website(perhaps a "stock status" next to item).I wouldn't have ordered itand would have gone elsewhere if I knew there would be a long wait for the item.......Thestupid thing about all this, is that I had been warned aboutTank Zonefrom some fellow tankers(and they live in the UK! so if hes slow with them then my poor butt in the USA is doomed), but I"assumed" that they might have just been unlucky and most of his customers were fine...but you know what happenswhen you "assume" lol....

You are so right. Too many excuses for poor service.

It's not an excuse for poor service but it seems a lot of vendors have trouble repling to emails.

I have dealt with Kin (Tank Zone) many times over the years and have always had very good service and a prompt delivery, as others have said England has had 3 inches of snow which grinds things to a halt so this will have drastic affects on deliveries anywhere, my wife needed to go to England on Thursday this was impossible due to the fact that the airports where closed though my wife could have flown out of Brussels without a problem, this would cover all flights passenger and cargo they all use the same airports

IHO they are pretty poor on comms but i have ordered several high value items from them in the past and they always delivered. Just expect a lot of quite time between paying and receiving. reliable though!!

And that's all I was commenting on, the lack of communication IS poor service. Snow or no snow, this email thing is getting ridiculous, almost like selective service.

But Tank Zone has had this going for them for as long as I have been on here so it's nothing new.

I've ordered through them before also...they took quite a while and also did not respond to emails til I threated to cancel the order, but all was well in the end. Just took a while for whatever reason.

HA! But then again I was in Seattle when they got 1/2 inch of snow. Being from NY I thought it was funny until I was stuck in traffic for two hours because people were parking on the freeway and walking due to the impassable snow conditions.

my personal experience is that he will get to you in the end - tho if he doesn't have stock then you might not get notified and he isn't that responsive to enquires after you placed the order.
Best to check up front and make your decision based on his reply.

Welsh Dragon and Forgebear are able to get me my weekend orders by the following Friday. Tankzone took over 3wks with no confimation in December, but he did reply when I inquired if my money had been received and order shipped. The variety of unique and desirable parts will keep them in business simply because there is no other choice. Prices are much higher than Welsh. [:'(]

Thank God for the Summit in Copenhagen! This Global Warming is killing the RC Tank industry and the reputation of our vendors!

Tankzone site is up and running ok for me. I have had several issues with tankzone over time. They DO have a good choice of stock ( if a little expensive) and they DO get it to you once stuff is ordered.....eventually. If its in stock, I have had it in two days,if its not, I have waited weeks. The thing is, tankzone don't update thier out of stock items too often and for whatever reason just don't bother to answer emails to inform you what's going on.. I sent several emails AND left telphone messages asking about the availability of stock before I ordered ( which I thought was reasonable as it was several hundred pounds worth) but didn't get the courtersy of a reply so I went elsewhere. Welshdragon and forgebear are the way to go for me now. In thier defence, I did recently receive a reply from them in answer to a query from several months ago! Bit late tbh.
