RE: ULTIMATE PZ III Build
Absolutely a fantastic job. From building my own tank from a total wreck, I can relate to all the hard work and much Mickey Mouse workings to get something moving that way you want. [:@] Wonderful idea of converting a stable, reliable chassis to such a masterpiece. Would love to see it. I used black powder 12 guage shotgun blanks for my main gun but had my cal 50 set up with propane. Lots cleaner with gas[&:] Must be nice to have a full shop to do all this great stuff. Those tracks will make a big diff. My steel track was murder driving on a wet road. [:@][&:] It had the Bren Carrier flat steel grouser track system (Horstman suspension) and it was like driving on an inch of ice on wet streets. Great job [sm=thumbs_up.gif][sm=tongue_smile.gif]

One's appreciation is greatly compounded when you have been through the knuckle busting and rusted bolts scene yourself. Immmagine you use at least a 3000 battery[&:] Waiting to see some action videos with main gun firing. . Hull and coax also propane? The royal PITA with the Pz III is the lack of driver's hatch and subsequent restricted vision. Also the lack of glory in parades when they announce you and you are hidden away inside and can't acknowledge the applause. Someone a while back in MVPA built an M-22 Locust light "airborne" tank. Likewise, no driver's hatch, but he fabricated one to be able to have bettter vision while driving in parades etc. Couldn't see it when it was closed and was engineered to be non visible, so worked out quite well. Might be something to consider.
