I want to open the tracks on my HLpershing; but I don't know how, and I don't want to break them. It seems the only how-to articles I can find relate to the Tiger.

<div style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt">HL metal and plastic tracks disassemble the same way. I'm assuming yours has pins, correct?I push the pins out with one straightened end of a paper clip. You have to press on the pin end that faces outside when installed on the tank because the inside end is where the knurled retention nub will be which keeps the pin in the track. Some pins are stubborn tho, and when you find one that is, just move on to the next one. Most push out fairly easily. HTH. </div>

for the pershing, there is the little parts on the outside of the tracks that hook the 2 pins together from 2 different pads right? well you gotta get a couple pliers and pull on the outside and inside one at the same time. not garunteed how it will come apart though. could have the same pin on both sides come or one on each lol. anyhow that is how i got mine apart. just gotta make sure you get the track pads and the center idler together right when you put it back. to get them back together i use a LARGE pair of channel lock pliers to press it all back together.
