Default JagdTiger Barrel

Does anyone know the correct length (1/16 scale) of the Jagdtiger barrel (from the base of the mantlet to the tip of the mussel. I'm looking to do some work on my 1/16 Jagdtiger (correcting the barrel length and upgrading to the RX 18 Board)

I'm showing 9-11/16" where it stops at the front of the mantlet.

Here's my barrel. I will get it painted up tomorrow. It worked out well. A graphite golf club shaft cut to length and bored out to allow for an airsoft gun

I've made him 33cm my jagdtiger barrel , aluminium weight about 33cm, the real barrel is what you see of the canon is 28cm. The barrel inside is exact 8mm just enough to put 88mm 1/16 munition in it , it just fit nomather with fabricant made them. I measered it from a 1/35 model took every piece of it from that model. the lenght is about it depends how yuo build the canon in, mine works with the multifunction set of the jagdpanther of tamiya, simply the best mark for RC tanks Two of mine were older then ten year, i have never got any throuble with broken parts etc...
Yes tamiya isn't cheap but deliver good quality, and all parts can be othered in a few weeks you have it.

Try and learn scratch is so fullfilling, when you see the endresult. Yes everyone has to remake some parts more than once, but you learn from your mistakes. No one can built at first model a perfect one, have fun, ask help and try and learn its rewardind at thime

You mean this? Barrel is 24.5cm from front edge of mantlet at battery to muzzle, in other words ready to fire.

TJM,
How did you bore out the graphite club? I did use your idea ( using the graphite club for the Barrel) on my Pantiger. The barrel looks great, but now H an L has released a new Panther, I have slowed on the rest of the upgrades. One side of my brain says to do it for the experience and to say " I built that" The other side of my brain says put the $ into a new Panther. Ohhhh decisions, decisions.

The Jagdtiger barrel is a graphite golf club (so it has a larger diameter and therefore the extra thickness of the graphite was fine and didn't need boring. I used an old fishing rod for my panther barrel. the fishing rod graphite is very thin and was great for that application (no boring needed)
