Default Winter TIGER CO

Since the beginning of my new novel TIGER! begins in the winter of 1944 I thought that TIGER A23 needed a Winter Clad CO.

So I took my own desription of the main character Oberleutnant Kurt Armhorst and modified one of those silly little Heng Long Tiger Commanders.

I trimmed the crusher cap leaving the round part. I then used green putty to makethe fur hat. I filled in the bottom of the tunic to make it more of a smock. Ialso added putty fur to the collars.

It took a bit of surgery to get the arms positioned. A also filled inthe fingers to give my guy some nice winter mittens. A scarf was made from a strip of toliet paper cut and wraped around his neck. This was then coated with clear matte and allowedto dry. When Dry I mixed a bit of blue and white and painted it.

I scratch built some headphone and binoculars. The face is done in oil and the winter grear was done in light gray. Shadows are in oil and to highlight the folds I used a Tamiya SNOW weathering stick.
