Opsrey and other make many uniform books wth full color. Check you public libary also. I have one on panzer uniforms at home but I just got into Danville for the tank battles here tomorrow so I don't have the publisher handy. Check amazon and ebay books sales also. Many auctions include some free pix for your review. PM me during the week and I'll see if I can send you what your are looking for.

I guess I just have general questions like when did/didn't commanders wear black, what color other crew members wore, stuff like that. not so much patterns

I was just reading an account of Kursk. In one very brief line members of the LSSAH mention being issued the "new cammo pattern uniform."
Hummmmm I wonder about that. I thought it came out in 44. Of course he was there and I was still 20 years in the future.

Like with the tanks you could find many uniforms. Assualt Gun gray (that even Wittman wore) Black Jackets, leathers, the LSSAH took a liking to Italian jackets. You could find mouse gray, so once again spice it with a bit of whatever you like.
