Default WECOHE RECOIL UPGRADE, install or not!

I have the recoil upgrade from Wecohe but I'm not sure if I should install it in my Tamiya Tiger or not. Doing some research on this forum and others, there seems to be an issue with the unit…barrels getting stuck etc. Is there really a noticeable difference between the Wecohe recoil system vice the stock one? ...vast improvement? Also, if I do install it will it be difficult to reconfigure the recoil unit back to its original state? I guess I’m a little timid about breaking the stock recoil system apart. Please advise…

The recoil kit will make it more realistic and it can be reverted back to stock if you don't like it. Here is a post with a vid of my KT with the modified recoil that I did myself. Not using a kit. Basically the same results except mine recoils faster. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_89..._1/key_/tm.htm

Install the unit. I've used them for years. Leave out the electic chip, all it does is allow you to set the speed of return to battery, IOW return to fully extended barrel. In my opinion useless.
You may have to get a better spring, but you should be able to find springs at any hardware store.
With the chip left out, the return to battery is still normal speed. When fired, the main gun recoils as the real one, almost too fast to see. You do have to make sure all your parts are aligned correctly and the main gun tube moves freely in his mantlet. Otherwise, all should be OK.
Do follow the instructions to the letter.
