Anyone who can find photos of the inside of real german tanks please post them, I have always wanted to see what the insides look like.

Panzers,Tigers,Panthers,Stugs,ect

There are quite a few reference books on the market which offer such insight, for example, the Panzers in Saumur

Here's a start. Interior shot Stug 3.

Here's a few of the King Tiger at the Patton Museum, Ft Knox, Kentucky. They cut away the armor on one side and replaced it with plexiglas so you can see inside. Nice to see inside, but a crime to do that to such an awesome tank. Camera battery died as I was taking these or there would have been more...

Wasn't the King damaged so they decided to do the cutaway?

As soon as the nice weather returns I need to make another visit there soon. They moved the T-28 yesterday to prepare it for shipping but have not yet announced if it is leaving for sure.

That was one of the big attractions there for me. Need to get back before anymore changes occur.

Jeff, any idea where they are sending the T-28? Man, the moving of that museum is a totally assinine idea and is going to cost a fortune...not withstanding the work involved in reorganizing everything in the new museum complex. Maybe Obama will send them a stimulus package to further complicate the move. When they sent us our T-30, it came in three loads...chassis, turret and tracks, and it was assembled on the front lawn. That T-28 is really going to be a job.

Wehrmacht39, Bovington has a Pz III with the left side cut away. Painted silver inside. German tanks are pretty simple and uncomplicated inside. Cramped, but enough room to get the job done.

Jeff. Charley Lemmons says the T-28 will ultimately wind up at APG, but probably have to move to Ft Benning with the museum first. I gave him a tip....told him UPS has some good delas on oversize parcels.[&:] Some one in Washington must think we have a lot of miney to throw away.

I have some pix the might help you out. I have some of the Tiger I in Bovington via the virtual video system in the tank. Whereas they were taken via the LCD tv they came out better than I though they would. They also have a DVD for the Tiger that I bought in the gift shop. you might be able to buy it directly if you like.

PS I bet the barrels don't get very obstructed in that shop...... At Bovi a few buttheads seem to use them for impromptu trach cans.
