Default DMD question...

I have a King Tiger DMD for my backlogged project, I just want to test it to see if it runs.

I have a KT MFU on standby but i Lack the comm cable & the Y cable causing my dilemma....

Now then, can I directly hook it to a 7.2V battery without worries of frying it or something?

Thank you.

yes you can before they came out with the Y cable for one 7.2 batt you had to run 2 batt in the tiger some do still run 2 batt in the KT just to get longer runs but you may not be able to test much with out the mfu hooked up .

Thanks, I just want to see if the DMD I got was OK due to some instances like receiving goods that were lovingly "handled " by the post office.
About the MFU... crap, should have gotten that comm cable[:@]

Thanks again...

man, these radio bind set up stuff is beyond me....[:@]

I plugged my BR6000 receiver to the DMD to start the binding sequence, put bind plug, powered the DMD....the receiver not blinking as stated on the manual.
And the receiver hasn't been used since I bought it[:@]

Is it a lemon or the DMD is the culprit?

Help!![]

the binding is to occur between the receiver and the transmitter. follow the instructions that came with your radio transmitter (they are a little different from one radio manufacturer and model to the next). Typically power is applied to the receiver with a binding plug plugged into the battery input at this time the receiver should start blinking. Use a "Y" cable to use both the binding plug and a battery at the same time or, if you are powering directly through the DMD, then just plug the binding plug into the receiver's battery input, then the radio is powered up while holding a button or toggle switch, after a short time the receiver should hold a steady light and, again depending on your transmitter a light or sound will indicate connection. Reread your radio transmitter instructions to see if you might have missed something. . after that then do the programming setup between the radio and the dmd per the tamiya instructions. let us know how it works.

Somebody check me to see if i missed something with this instruction

I plugged my 7c to the DMD for now at least I know it works. I will my DX6i again after I am done playing in the rain[&:]
Rain is like a luxury item here on California's Central Coast

I don't want to "waste" it

I just find it weird that when I plug my Spektrum Rx I see no blinking LED to tell me if there is at least power on the Rx as i directly plug it to the DMD...
