Default Help ! Tamiya dmd unit problem

I have a Tamiya King Tiger and the futaba control will not set with the dmd unit .I have followd the instructions to the letter but i have noticed that one of the lights on the DMD unit does not flash the right sequence in the process of setting the controls. I have no turning however it will go backwards and forwards, the turret rotates and the barrel raises. I would like to know if anyone thinks that the DMD is stuffed.?

either the dmd or one of the channels on your reciver isint working properly.

find a spare servo and test out all the channels on your reciver if the servo works then its your DMD i would think.

Make sure your communication cable wires and connections are all good. Make sure the tank and reciever batts are 100% charged. I bench test my radio, crystals and receivers with a bank of four or six servos to verify they are 100 % before instalation. Shabbernigdo is right on when it comes to this (good call). I have had few receiver troubles but I have seen transmitters loose a function. Try the basics and the KISS system. If you cannot borrow or swap in another DMD or MF you can send them to Tamiya for inspection. The are quite liberal and stand behind their products very, very well unless they are abused (burnt, acid coated or defromed by heat). Make sure you TX antennae is extended but not too close to the tank during set up and follow the instructions to the T. If you suspect RF interference try doing the tank set up in another room or outside.
Good Luck, Bob thecommandernj
