My Feedback: (1)
I have a Tamiya Pershing I bought used without radio gear. The owner using his gear demonstarted the tanks functions and all was good. I bought a DX53 radio and BR6000 receiever and cannot program the functions. I have gotten some to work at times while others do not. At times after the set-up procedure I had recoil and machine gun with other turret functions but could not get the tank to go in gear. Then I got it to go in gear and no recoil/machine gun just turret functions.I spent a few hours on this and have no answers.Anyone??

Here's a couple of links that may help although they are for the DX6(i) I believe the radios are similar minus one channel on the DX5. I have a DX6i and it works great using the information I found on this forum.

Also check out http://www.desertarmor.com/ I know there's club members using both DX6(i) and DX5 radios.

Not that I'm aware of but here's a link to the "Radio Room" with some .pdf how-to guides for the DX6 which should be close enough to the DX5 to get it working.

Ok guys..the Pershing is up and running. All systems operational and this thing is awesome!!! I wanted to thank those of you who tried to lead me to some help. I ended up having to set it up in a different way than the manual. It works flawlessly!

Good to hear you got everything working. Now if you haven't done so already I recommend making copies (electronic and printed) on how to program the DX5 for use with the tank and put them somewhere safe for future use. I'm sure someone else will ask how to program a DX5 in the near future and maybe you can help them out

Right! What I did was during the programming I only moved the left stick up 50% then down 50%. Once I strated the tank, to my surprise, my idea worked and all systems did too!! The only question I have now is can you start/shut down the tank from the TX?
Oh I also learned something else. After I got the setup done and started driving the tank around it suddenly died. It actually shut down like I shut the switch off. It started back up and I tried to drive it and once again it died...well if I didn't know any better I'd say it sounds like it's running out of fuel...lol yeah, low batteries. I love this tank!!
