actually, I'm stripping the AC unit some of the of the stowage off this one and putting it in my Aluminum one.

Then I'm going to have phil do this thing with this one and it's going to be my son's tank.

I had it all planned out. I just didn't want to pay the UK/ebay prices. Some quack was selling it for $166 plus $61 for delivery out of hong kong.

Sweet. I thought I seen a thread a while back (2-3 months ago) with this tank in review. Looked pretty dang large and cool for a 1/16 scale. I'd be interested in this tank if there were after market parts for it. What happens when those rubber band treads go out? ya know of any after market place that would have replacements? That would be my only concern.

Man, let's just pretend I didn't find that site.....or that price is only for the tank itself.

Looks like to me, another risk of dealing with some of these over sea's retailers/manufactures in China. But hey, the plus side is, you can get another one at a fraction of the cost.......I know....that's no consultation.[]

You should order one from this site, just in case they have direct dealings with this site or infact are the sellers on this site. Can't be sure if Chunwai made these in advance and this is a distributor. Regardless, you'd have it locked at this price....just in case they try to change it or change the story. Not likely they would do that just for you though.....but you never know the extent in which people will go.

I dunno if it's used.....they have a 100 units available. But, at that price...I most certainly will!.....Eventually. lol

edit: Actually, I'd rather the M60!!! That thing looks sweet, can't beat the price either. 529!

Holy Toledo!

Showed the wife the tanks this morning and the newly discovered price.......I think she's opening up to me getting one! Just gotta convince here some how that this isn't a scam site (which I'm unsure myself.) 1200 for this tank was alot more believable to her than the 599.

This is pitiful that I get excited about getting an almost green light to spend my own money......

Not so fast!!

Paul,

That's not our company's tank, they show the old pic. because we show the pic. have our company's name.
Let me check it and found what is the reason.

Regards
Chester

That is an old picture......They are going to looking into it. they don't offer wfly radios anymore. It's all good. $1200 or more is the going rate on metal 1/16 scale models in other markets.....I think that $599 is bologna......buy one and see what happens.

I'm just curious to see what chesters has to come back and say.

Had it not been for my wife this morning, I would have certainly purchased it first thing when I awoke, but through paypal where I could easily dispute it if needed or atleast get my money back. Kept dreaming about that sucker!!! Hope you didn't lose sleep over this waiting for a reply from chester.

Tony,
Thanks for the info. The wife travels to Europe next month to visit family. While she's gone, I think I may just add to my collection. One will be a Ausf F, with schuzern of course and more then likely the M1. I'll worrey about explaining it when she comes home LOL. I really wanted the new H an L panther G, but for the cost of one tank, I can have two. and endless possibilties of upgrades.

I sent them an email, I'm waiting on their reply. We'll see how that goes. If they give me a bunch of nonsense that doesn't sound too pleasing.........phhssst! I don't think so.

Assuming that all Chunwai's are made to order, if they say the tank is ready upon order.....red flag for me. If they say there is a customs duty tax of 2-300 bucks plus an additional 200 bucks for shipping.....that would sound pretty close to 1200 bucks that Chunwai charged you. Which would mean they found a way to get the accurate price in a different fashion....like what ebay sellers do. Charge 5 dollars for the item and the remainder of the cost is in handling and shipping.

dude,

I went on there pretending I was going to buy one. Created a fake account...they don't even give a real subtotal. No shipping cost. No paypal option. It looks fishy. All you get is a submit order option.

Let me know what they say.

Just remember guys, anything too good to be true is usually is too good to be true.

And if you pay via Paypal, remember that paypal will only give protection up until 45 days from the date of purchase.

That picture is of the HobbyEngine M1, NOT A Chunwia. So the 65.00$ would not really be out of line.
