We used to have a pretty good club in Jax, but it kinda fell apart 4 years ago when I moved east from Jax. Some may browse the forums still, so you may get some activity from there. They were building a battlefield behind the hobby shop on 103rd St last I heard some months ago.

Do not give up Guys!
You just need to get started somewhere and people will join. You know; Build it and they will come! The DAK group started with just two members in April 2006. Our first battle day was in Ethan’s back yard in October 2006 with four of us attending (that was the entire membership at that point) and look at us now, over 25 members from all over Arizona and California.

Yes, we are lucky. We have members that are master craft modelers, but we also have members that are just as good at the mechanics, electronics and RC side of the hobby. We help each other to improve our skills in all facets. It is a great group. Of course the BBQ on Battle Days does help…

yeah, if i could come up with some thing even close to what you guys have i think everybody would be happy.
maybe even try to get some of the local hobby shops to sell tanks and the misc parts, upgrades, battle systems would be nice.
but you guys deff have something great going.
thanks again...mike

hey sevoblast...i thought i heard of the jaks club and they where starting to build. that would be great if they did. i would love to get this going in my area and have battles and meets with some other florida based clubs. if i can really get something going i will post it on rcu and at all my local hobby shops and get a website going to. i just wish there was more people around that wanted to do it. but maybe if i do get a tank club going i can get some of the aircraft guys that fly at my field intrested to have another fun hobby to enjoy at the same field. like me i love planes to no end but ive also started to really like tanks and some of the people in that part of the hobby. to me tanks are cool, you have static modeling with some really cool detail work some of you guys come up with and you have the hole radio control. all at the same time with some really cool parts of history.
thanks again...mike
