Default Modellbau ARM-02 B Module

Hi, I'm thinking of getting one of these. http://www.welshdragonmodels.co.uk/t...oard-868-p.asp Apparently it gets rid of the HL tank recoil and it also comes with an LED flash which I need as well. Has anyone had any experience of one of these? Would it mean that I could have a flash, gun recoil and cannon sound all on the left stick up function or would it be through pressing the gun fire button? Does anyone have a wiring diagram? Please help!

Thanks

Right

Works with left stick and the k button. I bought one of these without the led, it had a problem where the relay would not open after firing sending current back to the motors. After numerous trys to find the problem I finally sent Tank modelbau an email. They had me send photo's of the board and soldering points and sent me a new unit which works perfectly.

Thanks smittyrob, could you explain how you hooked it up to the rx18 and recoil unit? I've got the instructions in German and haven't a clue where to start! Cheers

or use google translate
That's what I did, typed the instructions into google translate and that gave me enough to install.
My version didn't have the led as I'm using the asiatam recoil unit which has it's own, but as far as I know all arm models have only 3 wires to install not including the led wiring. Green to the board and 2 to the switch.

This is what I got from google translate;
1. When you Ersted "verify the Heng Long board. This module works only with the RX14 and RX18 Heng Long board
2. They are nearest point to Program 3. Please look at the picture good and they explore the cables and the right places.
3. Plumb 1: Ground (black cable) best to the main switch.
Plumb 2: Signal (green cable) It is the third nearest point to the left of the small Heng Long board (see picture). Please make
sure that there is no short circuit.
Plumb 3: Plus 7.2 volt (red wire) is also at the main switch.

The red wire of the left engine cut. Then the cable to the terminal screws 1a and 1b. Doing the same thing they now motor cable
with the right red, but these screws to the terminal 2a and 2b.
and they're ready.

Cheers guys that really helps. It seems none of you had any issues with the unit and you can't argue with the price from Welsh Dragon Models so I'm going to go ahead and order one. My only concern is that the LED that it comes with isn't bright enough compared to the HL high voltage flash but its worth a try before I invest in one of those as well.
