I just got my first tank a Upgrade Version Metal Track DAK Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf.F-1 1/16 Scale Radio Control Model w/ Smoke & Sounds. Everything works except the barrel will not go up or down. I cannot hear the motor running and when I open the door on top to look inside tank turret I can see and feel the gear and it not even trying to turn. I believe there is not power going to the motor that controls the up and down movement of the barrel.
I really don't want to send it back to Raiden for repair if I just know how this tank comes apart it would be a great help. I am not sure but I believe this tank is called the Panzer 4, is this correct? The cost was $139.95.
help please.......ARt...................

Glad you made it over here Art. Lots of people to help you here also, use the search function as well. Chances are someone has run into the same issue as yourself!

Your gonna have to bust out some tools to get it open, that's for sure. Start with what I told you earlier.

Art, don't forget to try out the FAQ section. Although there isn't direct directions on how to get into your P4, you it will give you the gist of it. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_5760954/tm.htm

First, I don't own this particular tank. The two I do own do come apart in a similar way. There are probably 4 to 8 screws in the bottom. Remove them and the top should lift up. Lift it up carefully. There are probably 1 or 2 wire looms with white plugs attaching the top and bottom. Make sure they are plugged in securely on both ends. If not, secure them and try it again. If it still doesn't work, you can remove the top by unplugging the looms from the top and unplugging the black wire (antenna lead) in the middle where the section of heat shrink is. If you have a volt meter you could probably check for voltage to the motor. If the motor is bad, their about $8. Good luck, and don't worry about taking it apart. It's really pretty easy.
