Guitar strings for cable?

Anyone try this on their models? A typical set of cheap guitar strings will include wire gauges .009, 011, 016, 026, 038, 042. The last three gauges are wire-wound and are useful for simulated cabling. The first three are plain wire and good for antennae and the like. Just a thought.</p>

Picture hanging wire from the local hardware store is better and cheaper. There are different sizes for light or heavier pictures, so there is a selection for tow cable sizes such as for the Tiger or T-34.

Guitar strings really would not be accurate as the wire is wound circumferential. A wire rope which is what is used for towing is twisted wire not wound. It is like a type of braid.

Memory wire at the arts and craft store is a nice option too. Comes as small as 20-22 gauge. So if you don't mind twisting your own....well, there you have it. It's a beyatch to work with though. Takes a lot of bending and torquing to reset the memory.

Picture wire that was mentioned above is by far the best option for making your ow. It is relatively cheap also. Much less than even cheap guitar strings.
