Sweet, can't wait for the pictures to arrive. I picked up a Tamiya Leo A26 about a week ago, but I won't start the build till the fall. I've been too busy this summer to start another build. Still have paint & weathering to do on my Mato Sherman to finish before I start another as well.
Really interested in which radio you decide to go with, as I still need to pick one out for the Leo.

Damn, work.....always getting in the way of things! I see the leo has the same rectangular opening on the bottom of the hull, like the Pershing. I don't understand why the hulls have that....just makes no sense.

I don't think so...atleast on Pershing, theres a square cover that goes over that, then 2 screws go into the metal tub and 2 into the speaker. There doesn't seem to be any other details added to thebottomof the hull for accuracy purposes, so I doubt it. The thought I did consider was that it was a left over design from a static kit, like Tamiya does with some of their 1:35 scales that still have the batter symbols or previous gearbox mounts. But there is no 1/16 static Pershing........so, that conclusion is moot.

I've beeneyingthis since it's been up. While it's still static, theaccessoriesare a bargain depending on what it can be won for. At the closing time of this auction, if the price is reasonable, I may have to see if I can snipe bid this......then sell the kit and get the rc version!

I agree, comes with everything one would need to build the kit....I think. I just want it for the metal upgrades and detail kit. All the paints, books, two dollar air brush can go. I believe those metal upgrades cost more than the tank retails.

Meh, your too early in your build to think about paint! lol
If you already have a particular unit in mind, that may help.....I know if I did get one, it would have a dusty feature. Only way to pull off an ambiance of realism.

Took a break on it for a moment, so I could get back to my Tiger 100. That's not coming along very great since I'vepracticallygutted everything and snipped wires with outlabeling(all three of my HL tanks) What an idiotic move, lol. The Pershing is practically built, other than adding the bins which I will scratch build to workable bins. Other than that, still trying to figure out if I'll maintain the Dead Eye Dick replica, or move on to the Super Pershing.
Any way......

GET BACK TO WORK! lol I need that extra nudge to press the buy button!
Yeah, that pershing was really nicely painted, even added the satin overcoat like it should have. Some of those leo's are done pretty nice too. Didn't think that fabric camo would translate well into 1/16, but one of the guys did an excellent job on it.

Man, I'm one inch closer to just saying "eff it!" What's $856 bucks right?.....yeah, that's a lot. lol! The more I look at the leopard the more I like it, especially looking at some of them on that site. They've done some really nice work over there!

I used a different approach and brought my wife along with me to the hobby store. When I saw that they had a Tamiya Leopard 2A6 in stock, i simply asked her if I could make a real silly purchase, she caved in and said yes.
