I gave this a try and I must say it works rather well.
In this technique we are attempting to make our paint and armor look like it has seen some weather. Sun, Rain, heat . cold...you get the idea.
Once you have your base color, filter and a light wash. Use Green, white, blue red, yellow, ocher, ans white. Place pin tip size dots of all the colors in a very random pattern.
With a wide brush that has been dampened in thinner, brush down until all the dots are blended.
This seems to make the paint not only look worn but somehow gives it a depth I have not seen. Go light on the white and yellow dots.
Every third or forth down stroke wipe your brush clean or you will start to just smear.
This is a very easy way to get the worn paint look.

You need a better camera as do I, Don! lol<div>Nice technique. That's commonly used for rusting and severe weathering....even rain streaks. While that technique on canvas is to provide depth using 2 or more colors for quick blending with out having to pre-mix and usually leaves desired dominant colors, it's quite effective for object use. Anyway, thanks for sharing!</div>
