I would get it from tower hobbies they are 100% better than banana hobby at least you can return it at tower if somethings wrong with the tank.

That depends on if he wants the airsoft version or not. All of the VStanks Tower sells are infrared versions.

I would get the IR version. And yes, the details are very well done for an RTR.

Too late, already ordered it. I have never had a single bad experiencewith Banana Hobby and I have ordered several items from them in the past. Here's hoping for another good experience. As for IR, I have seven VS Pro IR tanks, I'm looking for some airsoft tanks now to be honest, I'd like to get a sherman, a KV and one or two others for real backyard combat.

:DYea I always go back to airsoft nothing beats shooting real projectiles!!!

The Airsoft tanks are less complicated also, noIR emitter, detector or LEDs to go wrong. It's a simpler layout.
