M3 conversion kit?

Well now that the end is in sight on my M41 build I'm trying to figure out what My next project will be. As I don't want a run-of-the-mill tank I'd like to do something a liitle different. Although not a real fan of the Sherman I've always like the ponderous look of the M3 series. I've seen a couple of guys on the forum doing some builds, but wasnt' sure if there was a body kit available somewhere? As I'm not a master builder I would consider commisioning the work to somebody...

No such kit.  I believe all have been scratch built.  No such thing as a run of the mill tank with all the detailing and aftermarket parts
to get these days.  If your still looking to do a sherman there's a couple different turrets and upper hull's on the market to help
the build process.

Love the M3 Lee , or Grant, a kit would be great but it looks like it would have to be a scratch build for now.

All I've ever seen 'kit' wise was the conversion of an old resin kit - not sure if it is even available anymore

Unfortunatley I'm nowhere near as skilled as some of the cats around here doing custom builds. i would consider an older version of the M4 but I'm not sure which one has the more traditional style turret and the really neat "bolted section" tranny cover? And is there a conversion kit for that style? I have no idea what Mato was thinking when they decided on the jumbo...definately one of the ugliest Shermans produced...especially with the oversized airsoft barrel....iiiich http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f.../msn/angry.gif

Man, there are some fantastic build threads listed here. I saved each on to my favorites and spent the whole morning reading them. Thanks for reposteing the threads and great thanks to the modelers who first did the build threads. Fantastic tanks in all.
