Sherman Reference Book
Anyone have a copy of the book called "Sherman: A History of the American Medium Tank"?
Just wondering how good it is. |
RE: Sherman Reference Book
If that's the Hunnicutt book, it's the Sherman Bible.

Yes, that's right.

You can't get a better reference book.

RE: Sherman Reference Book
I have never seen one myself, but I know when it was out of print a while back, it was probably the most sought after armor ref book around fetching ridiculous money. It was reprinted a few years ago and I believe sold out again.
My refs lean towards German and I have a few rarities in my collection, but I would probably jump on a copy of that one. That said, I have a few out of print Fedorowicz books that have been re-released by Stackpole. It sucks to see a rare hardcover that would sell for $300 sitting as a paperback in B&N for $15. Well, it sucks if you have the HD, it's great if you don't. Maybe the Hunnicutt book will show up as paperback some day soon. ;) Seriously though, that's the go to Sherman book. Anybody I've ever heard speak with credibility on Allied armor always references that one. |
RE: Sherman Reference Book
There's a few on eBay, but I have a lead on the reprinted version by RZM for $175.00.
