Hi guys, here it is you can build it using a couple of HL stock cables, obviously this works also with the Impact apple (tested today) We have addedanew feature : the turret traverse is now proportionalinstead of standard HL on/off turning, this means that you canrotate the turret very slowly ;-) |
RE: The IBU2 is coming
That's easy enough. I wish El Mod would pass along something like this as well.
How many LED's could the Flasher circuit handle? |
RE: The IBU2 is coming
The flasher port can handle 2 leds series connected in parallel (same as TBU).
The flasher ring (supplied with the IBU) that fit the HL apple is wired the same way. |
RE: The IBU2 is coming
OK Thanks
|
RE: The IBU2 is coming
Well done! Especially like the programming feature like the Tamiya stick setup.;)
Does this have provision for cannon flash? |
RE: The IBU2 is coming
Cheers for that info Scooter ;)

RE: The IBU2 is coming
Ivano, I had a couple questions, possibly off topic, so I sent you a PM rather than post them here in your thread.
When you get the chance please read the PM, if you can answer the questions ... great, if not, that's ok too. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f...wink_smile.gif Thanks! ~ Craig ~ |
RE: The IBU2 is coming
Hi Craig, PM sent ...</p> |
RE: The IBU2 is coming
For those interested :
First and second batch sold out. Preorder for the third batch open. PM me for details Thanks Scooter |
RE: The IBU2 is coming
On the specs for the sound, you mentioned:
"<span style="font-family: Verdana, Arial; font-size: 13px; background-color: rgb(251, 252, 255);">- 2 channels sound with 3W/4 Ohm on-board</span>amplifier<span style="font-family: Verdana, Arial; font-size: 13px; background-color: rgb(251, 252, 255);">(replaceable with optional 8W/4 Ohm one)</span><br style="font-family: Verdana, Arial; font-size: 13px; background-color: rgb(251, 252, 255);" /><span style="font-family: Verdana, Arial; font-size: 13px; background-color: rgb(251, 252, 255);">1 Channel dedicated to engine sounds</span><br style="font-family: Verdana, Arial; font-size: 13px; background-color: rgb(251, 252, 255);" /><span style="font-family: Verdana, Arial; font-size: 13px; background-color: rgb(251, 252, 255);">1 Channel dedicated to all other effects, with priority table to play them" Are those 2 channels pre-mixed inside 1 chip, or will it be possible to tap into the " engine sounds " channel to power an "Acoustic Smoker" for exemple???<br type="_moz" /></span> |
RE: The IBU2 is coming
ORIGINAL: YHR That's easy enough. I wish El Mod would pass along something like this as well. How many LED's could the Flasher circuit handle? (side facing the front of the tank) sensor front | sensor right LED cathode | +5V GND | GND +5V | LED cathode sensor left | sensor rear I couldn't make sense of it, but if you can, then we should be able to hook up a 5 pin socket to the Elmod IR and use any other apple. |
RE: The IBU2 is coming
Yes it works, i'm using on one of my tanks an Elmod setup with HL and Tamiya apple.
The only thing to take care isto use the "sensor" frontinput. |

ORIGINAL: scooter_it Yes it works, i'm using on one of my tanks an Elmod setup with HL and Tamiya apple. The only thing to take care is to use the ''sensor'' front input. You would do the hobby another big favor if you could do up a quick schematic of how you have the Elmod using the TBU. I stated this project, had some issues figuring it out and ended up selling my Elmod stuff. |
RE: The IBU2 is coming
Hi guys,
Assuming that you have theElmod cable that connect the CSI card to the Elmod appleand looking at the 8 ways HL style connector the first groupof threewires are : pink = GND blue= +5V green = led kathode then we have a blank position, after this we have a group offour wires as follow: orange = left sensor red = rear sensor brown = front sensor black = right sensor so, what we gonna do now ??? Well we need the pink, blue, green and brown that must be connected this way : pink(GND) to TBU pin named V0 blue(+5V) to TBU pin named V+ Green(led kathode) to TBU pin namedLED- Brown(FRONTSENSOR) to TBU pin named IRSIG the free pin left on the TBUmust be connected to battery+ of the system (Elmod use +5V to supply the leds, Tamiya use 7.2V) You can find the TBU connectionsimage with description andnamesusing google (type in : Tamiya battle unit connections) (Sorrythis to avoid claims with image owners). If not clear drop a line and when i come back to work at the end of the weeki'll make a simple schematic. Cheers Ivano |

Hello,
One of the first customer of the card made apost of his first impression and a couple of video here : http://ibu2.forumattivo.com/t11-ibu2-first-impression Cheers Ivano |

From the link above, a new standard way to properly test electronics: :D

RE: The IBU2 is coming
:DI am looking forward to this, and playing with some sound files.

RE: The IBU2 is coming
Finally some official demo video about the IBU2 functions. The tank (M4A3E8 "Thunderbolt VII" Sherman) is by Scooter (I'm just the movie director) and is almost finished.
All functions as per latest firmware Sound demo: http://youtu.be/itrl8XYE_jQ http://youtu.be/IB1_9TU2k0c http://youtu.be/I2azWwW4agU |
RE: The IBU2 is coming
Nice.
He may need to add some slack to the flash unit (if there is one). The barrel dip with recoil means something is getting caught and causing unwanted elevation movement. |

RE: The IBU2 is coming
@ ausf Yes the servo recoil arm touches the inside of the turret when barrel is up, grrrr i have to open up the tank another time ... @ Buckeye36 Yes sir, you have perfectly understood cheers Ivano</p> |
