RE: The IBU2 is coming
Wow that looks good
and a very wide range of goodies any chance of a sound preview/video? |
RE: The IBU2 is coming
Wow, that's pretty cool. Emphasis on sound but you've got everything that counts, well done.
I'm curious about... " Supplied apple flasher leds board compatible with HL receivers " |
RE: The IBU2 is coming
will it be able to have a tamiya apple fitted ?
i am liking what i see |
RE: The IBU2 is coming
Hi guys, thanks for the interest, @ AFV432 i will post a demo video a.s.a.p. @ Strato 50, basically it's a ring of leds that fit the HL apple, pics and downloadable manual soon available @ septon, Yes the custom Tamiya cable is available on requestand also the high performance IR led emitter</p> |
RE: The IBU2 is coming
I'm one of the selected tankers for the first batch. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f...ular_smile.gif
I'll post my review as soon as i have my hands on the board |
RE: The IBU2 is coming
This is very good news! wish no one will ask me to add SDcard on my product, we now have EL Mod, Berier(I like thier soundteacher software very much!) , Taipen, and IBU at price range from 200€ to 99€, all have single or dual SDcard slot.
Regards, Clark |
RE: The IBU2 is coming
That's cool! More option = always better!<div>
</div><div>Anyone care to compare to the latest TK-22?</div> |

RE: The IBU2 is coming
This is very interesting. So it is pretty much Tamiya compatible with the addition of the repair feature? I like the simple concept.
Do you software for building soundfiles for it? |
RE: The IBU2 is coming
@ YHR
- Take note that the repair feature is only available betweenIBU (1 and 2) boards since it uses a specific IR pattern for the repair signal. - Speaking about sound samples,is very aesy to build your own samples the only mandatory requirement is : 22050Hz,8 bit, mono, wav format 8 chrs max lenght of the name(standard DOS chrs) max dimension of the sample 1 Mbyte (if longer will be truncated) I use these two audio tools,Audacitywheni need to work hardwith samples andAwave studioto normalize orresample but there's many others programsthat can do this well. |
RE: The IBU2 is coming
The IBU2 uses the microSD card to store all the used audio samples, but there is also another nice feature, theIBU2.ini file, where you can set your sound simply by changing the file name and copying the sampleitself in the root of the card. Furthermore you can : - set the timing of the power recoil (Tamiya like) - set the timing of the servo recoil - set the timing of the servo return - set the direction of the servo recoil movement - reverse the radio channels (if you have an old radio and you don't want toreverse the switch on the TX when you change the tank) Here is a sample of th e.ini file, enjoy <span style="color: #ff00ff">EngineColdON=estartc.wav EngineWarmON=estartw.wav EngineStop=estop.wav EngineIdle=eidle.wav EngineStep1=es01.wav EngineStep2=es02.wav EngineStep3=es03.wav EngineStep4=es04.wav EngineStep5=es05.wav EngineStep6=es06.wav EngineStep7=es07.wav EngineStep8=es08.wav EngineStep9=es09.wav EngineStep10=es10.wav SqueakType1=sk01.wav SqueakType2=sk02.wav SqueakType3=sk03.wav SqueakType4=sk04.wav SqueakType5=sk05.wav Cannon=50PZIII.wav Mg=MG34.wav Turret=turn2.wav Barrel=barrel1.wav Hit=hit2.wav Dead=dead2.wav Birth=Panzerl.wav Repair=Repair1.wav </span><span style="color: #0000ff">RecoilTimeDigital=1000;activation time ofpower recoil, in ms. value range1..9999 </span><span style="color: #339966">RecoilTimeServo=4000; activation timeof servo recoil, in ms. value range 1..9999 RecoilTimeServoReturn=2000; return timeof servo recoil, in ms. value range 1..99999 RecoilInverseCmd=TRUE; flag for servo reverse. value accepted TRUE, FALSE </span><span style="color: #ff6600">RadioCH1InverseCmd=FALSE; Flagfor reverseRXCH1. RE: The IBU2 is coming
Scooter how much are the ibu 1's selling at for the repair function ?
i know a few lads that have bergpanthers so this would liven up the battlefield |
RE: The IBU2 is coming
@ AFV432 you have mail ...</p> |
RE: The IBU2 is coming
OK so this is quite similar to the method El- MOD uses.
You were gracious enough to make the Bergepanther signal free for all developers to use so some other boards are compatible with this signal though(right??) Does the pinout on the IBU2 match the Tamiya sensor, so if a person wanted to he could just plug in a Tamiya TBU? |
RE: The IBU2 is coming
I can imagine a glorious world, where despite officially being competitors, IBU, DBC and Clark all share similar repair & machine gun functions...
Oh the battles that could be waged... half tracks.. light armored cars.. repair depots... true scouting... *faints* |

RE: The IBU2 is coming
The repair pattern was shared with Kevin, and he sent us an early Mako board with the feature enabled, but some testing showed that it was not recognized by the IBU.
Geographical distance is not a good thing when such tests are required, though, but maybe in the future Ivano and Kevin will manage to make it work. edit: anyway apart from the pattern itself, we shared with Kevin thoughts about how a 'repair tank' function had to be implemented on the battlefield to make it fair and balanced, and that kind of sharing was the most important part of the collaboration. |

One would think, if the IR repair codes shared between them are the same, it would just simply work ... damn electronics & their sometimes unpredictable quirks!!! ~ Craig ~ |

RE: The IBU2 is coming
would be awesome to add SD card to your TK22 would unlimit the possibilities further on , i have three tamiya porsche KT tigers at home will be drivin by the TK22

ORIGINAL: karel47 would be awesome to add SD card to your TK22 would unlimit the possibilities further on , i have three tamiya porsche KT tigers at home will be drivin by the TK22 Sorry, but it would seem no matter how many requests for adding an SD card Clark gets (as there have been many on this forum as well as suggested through email to him), he has remained consistent in saying it just won't happen. Main reason he stated was that it would limit his board to 2 simultaneous sound tracks, which he doesn't want to happen. Though let's not get this fine IBU2 thread off topic by discussing Clark's products now ... myself included http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f...wink_smile.gif ~ Craig ~ |
RE: The IBU2 is coming
scooter anychance of the tamiya apple cable info it would help loads ;)
looking forward to seeing this some of our lads were worried that it was only H/long apple orientated but with this addition plus an SD card to boot im drooling already :) |
