Yea, i wondered that also. I thought it may be so they could mill the flat on the shaft easier and faster then a hardened steel shaft. But the gear on the shaft is attached with a grub screw, so I'm sure it could be replaced.

I ordered a Set and a pair of Red Motors to go with em...
Very Reasonable Price to my door.

Figured at the price it was worth a shot.

Gus: I to ordered 3 sets of tge red "5 times torque " motors. I got them just in case the blue "improved motors" weren't so improved. I probably will put them in the Abrams , i got the same gears for my Leo and will probably put the bigger motors in it as well. I wish i would have ordered 4 sets though...
Cause now I can't decide if i should put them in my JP, or Strumtiger...
