Securing Electronics- What to use?

What is used to secure MFUs, RXs, TBS, to hulls? Does a certain tape work better than others?
Will anything harm the electronics, like magnets? What works well for transfering componets from one tank to another?
Some tape seems so strong that if you try to removed if from the board if feels like the board will brake in two.

For items that will be moved, try Velcro. For items that will remain in place, but might have to be moved for maintenance or replacement, try Shoe Goo. It can be removed in it's entirety with out harm to the hull. To make attaching upper hulls to lower ones easier, use 1/4" magnets.

I hope I don't dredge up the ire of our members, but I've used a glue gun to hold down Clark boards... it won't come lose, has a tiny bit of vibration reduction, and will peel right off if you need to :P

Magnets are awesome to hold hulls together and it's usually the first thing someone will do on a HL tank!

I've also ordered a buttload *a buttload is about 475 litres, look it up* of M3 nylon standoffs.. Ive recently found them incredibly useful for mounting just about everything else.

Try these. I use them all the time, for everything from MFUs, to receivers to viper boards. You can cut them with scissors, they stick like crazy but still pull right up with slow, steady pressure, and when they get dusty and lose the sticky you can run them under warm water and bring them back to life as good as new.

I also use a lot of Velcro for stuff like speakers, LVAs, and even smoke units.

The Scotch foam squares are also very useful.

Good topic. I like the answer I have seen so far. I use carpet tape.

I use the Gorilla clear mounting tape, super strong but yet removable without any damage or residue. http://www.gorillatough.com/gorilla-mounting-tape

I also use re-closable scotch strips, think velcro with no fabric side, its two plastic sides that lock together extremely well. http://www.amazon.com/Scotch-Reclosa...PWCV1SDXY29QG0

Hi, One of the first things I do when I get a new Tank is to strip everything out of the hull and glue a sheet of "VELCRO" to the floor,
Then I glue a strip of "VELCRO to the base of whatever I will be returning to the hull,
I keep speakers in place with "SCOTCHTAPE" blocks and do remember that if you are planning on using a "CLARK" board it will fit exactly into the RX18 case so if you glue a strip of "VELCRO" to its base access to the "CLARK" board is much easier. shaun
