This is an exciting one for me, I've coveted this since Edelwiess first built is, finally I've managed to persuade him to let me obtain it! Got some big plans for her, servo recoil and elevation, hidden battle system, running gear upgrades, tcb with benedini sound system, maybe some Ludwig skirts. Watch this space! It's taken far to long but I've finally got all the metal swing arms, uprated springs and of course new wheel installed. Very pleased everything fits as it should and the alignment seems ok. Nice. Any way to fit some sort of counterweight to the breech end to help balance that barrel?

I don't think the Tamiya elevations going to be up to the job so I'll be using full size servos for the recoil and elevation on this. I'll add some lead to the recoil mech no try and balance things out too.

The E90 lives! (Well rotation needs work but nearly there). Some tweaking was required, added a metal gear recoil servo which has given me a better throw, the recoil unit its self had to be flipped as it was catching the turret ring, which also meant changing the elevation pivot points and elevation servo position. However I think it's coming together now!

This is a really interesting "Paper Panzer". Is it using the Tamiya Hull less two road wheels? It looks to be mostly Tiger II components scratched into the scratch built upper hull and turret? Looks good enough to entice me to take a crack at scratching my own. I have some Tiger II stuff laying around that could be made use of. :cool:

Hey thanks! It's a Ludwig hull with originally Henglong running gear (Inc suspension positions) the tracks were altered with duckbills and wheels made bigger. It's now uprated with metal suspension arms, custom wheels and taigen 4:1 BB gears

Been tinkering away, had to.grind away large parts of the turret floor, remove lifting hooks and tinker with the rotation unit. Finally the rotation is working as it should.

Is it Ludwig's E-100 lower and upper hull? Looks like the wheels are the Tiger II wheels just modified?

lower is copied from a Ludwig one and turret is Ludwig, wheels are modified torro kt

The penultimate piece of the E90 puzzle arrived last week, a set of skirts from Chris Ludwig. Whilst they say in development on the site, I asked Chris nicely and he sent me the set.

Because the E90 it's quite the same dimensions there's surgery on pretty much every horizontal piece to match where it's mounting points are. Took some cutting but one down 5 to go! Hey Jeff, current tracks are HL plastic ones with duckbills glued on. However I've comissioned some e100 style.tracks that will.fit the KT running gear. Pm me if you're interested

Thanks again for the kind words. I've not had a lot of hobby time since October but I'm putting a concerted effort into this one.

Christian was not joking when he said it would be difficult! Because the front profile of the tank differs from the e100 (the whole hull has a very slight taper) I had to do a lot of reprofiling to the piece which sits next to the hull. First stage of getting the frame done is finished, and the initial bonding of the skin is done two. As you can see I have some excess material around the front wing which is causing it to bow out, so rather than a flat curve around the bottom it's poking up. Options are to try reskinning in thinner styrene, add heat (although I fear this might ruin it) or try cutting a sliver out perpendicular to the base to remove a little excess material to try and remove the buldge. I went for the cut and shut. Added styrene at the bottom to get the shape I wanted and then I'll smooth off with car body filler.

You plan on matching Martin's paint job on the fenders?

I'm going to try, he's given me some pointers on the paints/oils etc he used. One might end up redox with a couple wheels as hastily repairers mine damage
