Gear stowed! I'm experimenting with microballoons and acrylics paint....looks like it makes good "mud"

While I detail my tank I've been working on my first village building...here is a pic of the progress on that.
Question about tread tightness...mine crackle as they turn are they too tight? THanks in advance. Dennis |

Did you use a primer before application of the olive drab paint? Also, have you used a dull coat or is what we're seeing just a paint and wash layer?
Great job on the tiedowns! I don't know why but they really add to the look of the tank. Is this the paint you used? -Harq |

Yep...used testors primer-gray...on everything. Haven't used a dull coat...thinking about it. It is just paint and wash right now.
This is a picture of the paint I used. Thanks...for the tiedowns I drilled holes at an angle on either side of the handles and passed a wire through then pulled the string through. Later, Dennis |

I know the turret has a noticeable seam dividing the top and bottom halves. Can this be filled with putty/epoxy or should it be left alone so one can disassemble the turret for maintenance issues, etc.? Just striving for my own little version of a realistic Persh'. -Harq |
