HL tiger sprockets
Has anyone tried stripping one down. Would like to see how it's constructed before I try anything.
Thanks, Don |

RE: HL tiger sprockets
The idlers pop apart with a screw driver, be careful and work your way around.
The drive sprockets are attached with a screw, the center hub will pop out again with the help of a screwdriver. http://www.matotoys.com/canada/produ...products_id=87 Check out that link, at the bottom of the page there are some pictures that should help, good luck!! |
RE: HL tiger sprockets
I like to use a small angled pick to pop out the center hub as the screwdriver will tend to mar the sprocket. The stock plastic drive sprocket is glued together pretty good, so I think it will be very difficult to separate it into two halves.

If you plan to repaint the drive sprockets, then dipping them in a can of paint stripper for an hour or two might loosen up the glue that holds them together.
