Dumb question..
Hey guys,
What's the right percentage to convert 1/35 to 1/16....218%? Please help... Math... make... Hulk's... head...... hurt. Shep |
RE: Dumb question..
2.187

RE: Dumb question..
To be completly accurate it's 218.75%. For my Jagdpanther I rounded up to 218.8% and the Tamyia Panther gearbox fitted in exactly.

RE: Dumb question..
Thanks Panther F,
Instead of the Grant Tank project that I was planning, I started work on a Panzer 38(t).... I've put the basic hull together, and when I compared it to my Tiger 1, I said.... no way it could be that tiny I said to myself. But I photocopied up an old Italeri 1/35 38(t) at 219%, so I guess it's accurate. Thanks again. Shep |
RE: Dumb question..
Yeah, 220 ... 221, whatever works. :D
|
RE: Dumb question..
the easiest way to up scale is measure the 1/35 part then mul;tiply it by 35 then divide by 16 you will have the 1/16th scale dimension

RE: Dumb question..
YUP! :D
|
RE: Dumb question..
35 divided by 16 = 2.1875 so you can just measure the 1/35 part and multiply by 2.1875
|
RE: Dumb question..
So rounding off the multiplier from 2.1875 to 2.19 would be close enough
