Was it working before you pulled it apart (even with the oil spill?)

I reckon that was likely the smoker unit leaking smoker oil, or possible the airsoft gun leaking its lube (less likely) - neither is terminal, but is messy.

One thing you have to watch when putting them back together is that no wires are crimped between the two halves, and that the turret plug (that the turret loom plugs into) is secured with its screw -- if allowed to dangle it could possibly short.

Another thing is the aerial joiner: convienient for taking them apart, inconvienient because if its not secured its a bare wire floating inside the rear of the tank -- could possibly short on the small smoker pcb etc.

Just chucking around a few ideas...

Welcome to tanking! Heng Long wanted you to experience what real life tankers experienced with their tanks! Such breakdowns will enrich your modeling, electronic and parenting skills! :D

check over the board. see if there is any oil on it or the secondary board etc. also you can remove the couple screws holding it down and look at the under side. also check to see if any circuits are blown.

Oil shouldn't affect the board, being non-conductive. Sure, it might damage/corrode it over time (I mean extended months, or more realistically years)

Something during the de-manufacturing process or putting it back together has crimped or shorted one of the boards, usually you just lose a function.

If your board is fried you can get them at Mato Toys or Tankzone.------BIGMIG
