Panther Side Armor
1 Attachment(s)
I had an email request asking how I fashioned the side skirts and frame work for my HL Panther.
I used picture frame hooks fashioned into angle brackets. I used plastic I beam and cut it to size. Two were glued to each frame. http://image2-9.rcuniverse.com/e1/fo...99/Ay73319.jpg A slot was then drilled through the plastic Panther sides, and these were fit and glued to the inner frame of the upper section of the chassis. http://image2-6.rcuniverse.com/e1/fo...99/Qo40836.jpg Using "tile" styrene sheet I then fashioned all the skirts and cut slots where they would rest on the I beam holders. http://image2-0.rcuniverse.com/e1/fo...99/Kp33220.jpg That is all it took |
RE: Panther Side Armor
Thanks for this thread YHR.
Can you tell me the width of the plastic beam and also where I could purchase it from. |
RE: Panther Side Armor
I am not sure what size I beam I used. It is from evergreen plastics. Just eyeball it, and you'll be close enough.
