engine cut-out

I just got my first scratch built plane up and flying it was a Dazzler. I had one successful flight then on the second flight I started to do maneuvers and the motor cut-out. I believe it was caused from the pick up in the tank not getting to the fuel. The plane was doing a loop then an aileron role, leveled out made a left turn, sputtered then cut out. The motor was a .40 LA the tank was 6 oz. Is that the reason and if it is how do I fix it, if not the reason what could it be. I also have a external fuel filler in the line up. Thank you, E

If your scratch built has metal gears and tracks it may be a little to heavy to do a loop and aileron role and then go immediately into a left turn :D

Sorry... I couldn't resist!

Water in fuel. Check your fuel/water separator! :D

I would have used the 8 oz tank instead of the 6oz, you clearly underestimated your fuel economy.

Shorten the pick up tube' and roll the plane by hand and make sure it will flex to all points on the tank and does not hang up.

that's it! gotta be the fuel tank...most tanks only get 3-4 gallons per mile and flying requires a lot more. :D

I don't know, I think you were onto something there with the left track tension. Maybe adding a link to the left side would correct the problem :)

lol, dont be harsh. he made a simple mistake - thats all! how about if you started talking about track tensioning in the plane section! how would you like it! :D
