RE: noisy gears
Hi Thomas
This is a "normal" behaviour on new gears. There are some threads on this forum about how to run in the gears. In the local team here in Denmark, we use WL-40 which is very effective. Others use standard toothpaste when preparing the gears. Feel free to pm me if you want the "story" in danisj [8D] cheers Steen www.panzerteam.dk |

RE: noisy gears
I think I read a thread a year ago or so where Harold [Pzrwest] filled the gears with silicone or something to quiet them. I'll see if I can find it...
Found the thread I was talking about. It gives some ideas, but no real definate answer http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_71...tm.htm#7118746 I don't think running longer helps. I broke mine in good when they were new and have been runing them for a year and they are still loud. I will eventually replace all of mine with steel gears [when Bill gets more in [:o] ] |
RE: noisy gears
