spektrum bind problem
first, i finally got me my first tamiya FO http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f...eeth_smile.gif
second, i got a spektrum dx6i + br6000 after asking for opinions on this http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f...wink_smile.gif thanks bowlman! third, i powered it up then comes to the binding process.... amber lights are blinking, put the bind plug on the rx power connection, plugged all channels of the DMD to the receiver (hope i connect them in right order), powered the radio with the bind stick pulled up wait for it...... amber light stopped blinking there is no connection http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f.../msn/71_71.gif OK, tried again same deal http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f.../msn/50_50.gif obviously there is something wrong here that can be easily detected by those who have the dx6i that this newbie cannot comprehend http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f...msn/crying.gif help! |
RE: spektrum bind problem
Dx6i manuals suck at explaining the bind. Dx6 manuals were better. I'm going from memory on this. I'd recommend this...
Unplug the BR completely. Turn off the Tx. Plug the bind plug into the battery slot. Take a 4.8v. battery pack and plug it into any remaining slot. You should have a blinking light now. Hold the bind switch on the Dx6i as explained in the manual (I think its the trainer switch), and turn it on. You should get a solid light in about 5 seconds. Unplug the battery, and the bind plug, and then install. |
RE: spektrum bind problem
nuts! i don't have a 4.8v battery pack. i thought these are something like "plug and play".
my futaba 7c is even better than this. but i must persevere! for the sake of my first FO tankhttp://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f...wink_smile.gif what i was doing earlier is just put let's say channel 1 from the DMD to any slot except the battery but i doesn't workhttp://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f...ngry_smile.gif |
RE: spektrum bind problem
You can use the dmd to power the br6000 just plug all the channels in like you want it then plug bind plug in to br6000 battery plug connection and then pull forward on trainer lever and hold it there then power on the radio wait 5 seconds and release lever the br6000 should be binded to radio now then set up the dmd by Tamiya Instructions . Make shore tank is on a block of wood to raise tracks from moving tank just in case .
The DX5e binds the same way also I have both . Thanks Jimmy |
RE: spektrum bind problem
I have that radio. Install the bind plug. Turn on the receiver. WIth the trainer switch pulled towards you , turn on the TX and hold the trainer switch forward until the ornage light on the receiver comes on solid. Release the trainer switch, and you should be good to go.

RE: spektrum bind problem
so it was an orange light that will lit steady! i was looking for green, silly me! cross referencing 2 manuals
ok i got it running, now to wire them properly so with the br6000 the wiring should be as: BAT=bind plug THR=Channel 1 from DMD AILE=Channel 2 from DMD ELE=Channel 3 from DMD RUD=Channel 4 from DMD did i percieve it right? gentlemen, i thank you all for your help with my first Tamiya FO tank |
RE: spektrum bind problem
looks good after you have bind done you can remove bind plug and store it some were safe in case you need to rebind later or add extra tanks .
Thanks Jimmy |
RE: spektrum bind problem
i can now move the tank, fire the machine gun except the main gun i followed this thread: (mainly the last thread)
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_73...tm.htm#7301841 well it did mention that each tank "behaves" differently for someone who doesn't know radios (yours truly) this is like looking at a latin text can anyone provide me a dx6i set up for the tamiya jagdpanther? thank you!! |
RE: spektrum bind problem
Please tell us how you've got your sticks set up, meaning what does the left and right stick do.
Tamiya style is forward/reverse and left/right traverse on the left stick, and elevation/depression and left/right crab on the right stick. Heng long style puts all the driving on the left stick, and all the turret on the right. Both work fine, they just make a difference in setup of the radio. |
RE: spektrum bind problem
right stick, move up & down=tank moves forward back, moving the stick left right does nothing
left stick= move up & down=turret elevates , moving stick left right barrel moves left right moving throttle trim all the way down activates machine gun fire main gun.....kaput! |
RE: spektrum bind problem
Ok, try these two threads. This has been hashed out before on the forum. One of the threads (http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_73...tm.htm#7312398) is for installation of fire buttons (a nice addition). The other (http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_7301841/tm.htm) is for setting up your sticks to fire the MG and Cannon. Let us know how it goes.

thank a million jeff489!http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f...sn/biggrin.gif it might take a while getting used to the throttle on the left hand, but i will perseverehttp://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f...wink_smile.gif case closed.......(maybe, we'll see) now to work on my other tank...... |
