need cheap multi function unit
 

Hello everyone, I am looking for some sort of cheap multi function unit to replace two mechanical speed controls on my vinatge Kyosho Blizzard. Not really a tank per say like most of you run but it does have tracks and twin motors. After doing some prior research, the recommendation was a Sabertooth. I'd really like to find something cheaper and thats where I see alot of people use the Heng Long RX-18. I have really no knowledge of what will or won't work so I would like some recommendations. If I do choose the Heng Long, can I still use my Futaba radio or will I have to purchase the Heng Long radio. Thanks!

In my opinion, avoid Hennie Long because you will have only rudimentary proportional & possibility of burning RC board out on high current. My 2 cents.

Have you tried a v tale mixer they are cheap and you get one stick control with 2 escs. I have not used on tracks but it works well in boats.

It all depends on the amp draw. The RX 18 is good and inexpensive' you just need ot be cautious of the amps you are pumping through it.
