Finnished light guards and tool holders now for the part i dont like welds.

The plastic may be soft, but is resilient. Mine fell off a shelf from about 4 feet. The only damage was to a rear tail light guard ( easily glued back together) and a broken track link. Once the link had been replaced it ran like a champ ( thank god).

That's a really good looking Cut and Shut on your Sherman YHR. It's also good to have SNFF back as well.
I recently got my PZIV from The Blitz and the more research I do the more I realise that I have to do to it.
I'd like to post my progress with it on here if that's ok.
I've had a bit of a rocky road with Tanks for the last year or two. However everything has changed now. I have two I.r. Battle ready Tanks that need a lot of detailing and everything is looking good in that respect.

If anyone is contemplating doing one of these ( or indeed anything similar) and doesn't mind making a second set of components then I'll be willing to cover your costs. I'm pretty much a lazy modeller ;-)

Thanks YHR i think they are a little to big but ok for my first try. I started the weld lines and some details on the turret. The .50 cal is not to bad with a little work now i need to find a crew.

Cheap Tank,
Looks great. I also upgraded the 50 cal. I cut the barrel off at the Handle assembly. Then used some plastic rod the same diameter as the barrel to fill in the empty space under the cooling shroudand reassembled. I also liked the hatch periscopes. did you scratch those or did you buy them. Great tank and keep the pics comming.

Thanks 1sgt they are styrene sheet from a crashed plane every thing on it is scrounged junk i have more time than money to spend on hobbies these days.

Man,
That's an awesome scratch job on the periscopes. Did you take any close up pics of the assembly process. Like you, my funds are limited and I need to scratch as much as possible. Problem is, I don't have your skill or foresight in reutilization of materials. any additional help would be greatly appreciated.

No i just look for photos on the net and try to make a deasent copy. For these i found an add for photo etch in 1/35 it had clear detail on the hatches.
