Although I'm not sure if the Turnigy chip allows slow start...if it does, I haven't figured out how to adjust it yet. If only I could, then it would have trueinertiaof a tank, but for now I can start as fast as I want by control of the stick. So far what mine does is allow the tank to continue to drive forward even after the stick is back into center position up to 4 feet,deepeningon how fast I'm driving. No sound card it hooks between the receiver and any servo device and is adjustable to slow down movement and delay movement .

here is a RCU post saying you don't need it for the Pershing or KV they start out slow and slow down slow .
