Default How Is This?

Hi Ya Folks
Well I decided on my first Nitro Truggy build. The only thing in stone is it will be a Tamiya TRF801Xt, I already have that. So I would love any criticisms, thoughts and suggestion. I realy know nothing about this sport accept I look forward to mastering it with the best stuff I can afford. I have also opted for some of the Tamya Hop-Up parts now rather than later. I REALLY want suggestions here.
So here goes in no particular order.
Spektrum DX3R Transmitter, SAVOX Servo’s 1257TG and 1258TG, full set of the Tamiya Springs, Tamiya Short Suspension Arm Set and Short Drive Shafts, the Tamiya Aluminum Rear Hubs, Tamiya Aluminum Front/Rear Chasis Braces, the 14 tooth Clutch Bell, Pro-Line Revolver M2 tires, and the Fioroni Vario Clutch. I am considering the Sirio CL7B-US STI Long Stroke Engine. I just have no clue about engines. But I’d like to spend extra on quality and this on looks good.

Default RE: How Is This?

if you want Savox servos you will want the 1256TG ... the 1257 wont stop that truggy, IMO the 1258 isnt strong enough to stop it on a dime but it will get the job done ... i run 425oz/in on steering and 208oz/in for throttle on my buggy, putting them on my new truggy also .... on the engine, the Sirio wont pull that truggy. good engines would be: werks B5, Ninja 21, 21, TQ engine, O'donnell Super Sport 21 or Jammin JPX 21 (jpx may be a little much for a starter engine) .... just to list a few ... those are probably the best bang for your buck, easy to tune and last a good while.

cant comment on the tamiya, didnt like them and need mods to get it to turn and i have no clue about them, just drove 2 tamiya, one with the hop-ups and one stock, stock one stunk, the hoped up one was ok, they just didnt fit my driving style ... go to rctech.net and start a thread there and you'll get way more info on the tamiya
