I think im going to turn my 9.5 into a truggy
so I was think of buying the following:

30mm hub extenders
12t clutch bell
truggy wheels and tires(maxx size)
a 51t spur gear

will this be good enough gearing? Im prolly going to throw a hot Bodies .26 on it with a HPI ribbed pipe(low-end power)

use my gearing chart i have above thats a excel doc.. honestly.. hb did it right, they used a 10t pinion, a 43t ring.. everything else stock is 13t and 43t.. that alone is worth alot.. you will need to use the chart to figure out the spur you want to use..

I thought I would post a few pictures of my GS SUT. It has an RB.28, Jammin JP-1 pipe and Futaba electronics. Just waiting for the new tyres to arrive the I will swap the axle extenders out for Ofna Dish rims. Haven't decided on a paint scheme yet, will post the pics when it is all completed. Hope you like it.

well we must start off with some pics..












One of the things Bill did to custom tailor the chassis to our needs, he left the 3 cut outs to self fit via a file.. why you may ask.. kyosho tabes are a different size vs hb and people use kyosho hing pin braces on the LSP from time to time.

i started build up with my rear vertigo CF brace and pro-r mount blocks.


time to add in the rear end. now most would rebuild the rear end at this point.. but i did that 2 weeks ago, before usign this past weekend.


time to add the frotn end.. since i have the vertigo front brace, its 1 unit with the center diff.. it also has the king headz anti bend rod for added strength..

yep a close fit.. but fits well


rb tm728, same as tops/rex/rossi 28s with pull start.. installed with HB cnc machined engine mounts!!! perfect fit..

I got it from ebay nitro-killer was selling them and they are 2.00mm thick probably the toughest 1/8th scale body i have seen.

if i were to buy a mugen mbx5 truggy conversion kit, for a project how much more would i have to spend to finish the job? the kit seems like it comes with an awefull lot of stuff like 3/4 of the truck for like $275
