Default Assembling a Kyosho ST-R

How long time do you think it takes for a newbie to mount a Kyosho ST-R?

Anything special I should think of?

If you take your time, 10-14 hrs excluding painting the body.

Follow the instuctions closely
Use quality tools.
Use a little grease or oil when threading parts like turnbuckles together.
Take your time and enjoy it.

If your using the stock screws get a quality screwdriver that fits the screws, if your using machine thread screws either pre thread the screw holes or heat up the screws and save yourself some headache.I had my truck together in about 7 hours but I worked non stop.

This was my first kit so it took me quite a while. about three 5 hour days. I wanted to be sure everything was perfect. The only strike against the kit in my opinion is the little bags of screws that were unlabeled and had like 3-6 different types of screws in one bag! And man my wrist and fingers still are sore from threading certain screws![:@]

With the diffs makes sure to shim them correctly. I used one thick and two thin shims on the ring gear side and two thin one on the other side.I also Used one of the black 8mm axel shims under each one of the pinnions.

and after about a gallon re shim the diffs. they will lossen up and if you don't shim them properly you will have to buy a new ring and pinion.
