RE: advantage of a truggy over a buggy?
I find my truggy a little more durable than my buggy. Yes bigger tires/different gearing subtle yet differnt overal design.
Truggys own all. They're fast, they're durable, they are a little bigger for offroad use, generally have larger shocks than a buggy and the wheels give higher clearence.
buggy chassis are fairly narrow, a truggy chassis is usually a bit wider. Also the stance is wider on a truggy.
its inbetween buggies and monster trucks what can be better than that?

Truggies are fairly light (compared to MTs), have the speed of the buggies, but are very forgiving in the handling dept.
The bigget engines aren't necessarily a bonus. They are thirstier so more frequent pit stops, and the power difference on the track compared to a .21 is very small.
For club races I run an OS 30 for ROAR sanctioned races, I race a .21 even though I can go .28. Works great with the .21

I find their handling is better, but they all seem to be more fragile. My mate had broken his Mayhem Truggy more times than he will admit.

I've found my ST-R to be extremely durable. Sure I had a few DNFs in heat races, but these were my fault. Didn't recheck screws and the like. I've never had it fail on me in a main.....

buggies tend to jump a little better and technically should be more durable due to smaller arms and less weight. truggies are much easier to drive faster. so generally they turn faster laps.

truggies are more stable at higher speeds and thats about it really....overall just more controllable but buggies offer more thrills while in the air lol they fly
