From what i understand the k4.6 HO has more agressive porting. But for the money you can get better, not sure about shops in the uk but you can find faster for less

Hi,

I run a Nosram RS28 ( actually the same as the LRPZ28spec2), with a 15thoot clutch bell and it really rocks !
The engine has lots of bottom end and is very reliable. I think I ran now about 3 gallons tru it in my Savage ( on wich I broke about any drive-train parts ) and 2 gallons in the HF. The compression is still very high. I use after-run oil every time. Temp is about 100° C with Model Technics Fuel 30%.

just to give you a idea, it pulls off wheelies with the 15t bell on the grass.

Definitely the best engine I ever owned

I have the 46 ho and it has alot of power and runs strong all the time starts right up and goes no problems I race it and it holds it own. Depending on your track size though this motor has a good lower and mid range power band and it has a ton of power even if you run it cool. But if you have a very long track and not a ton of money I really would get the sportwerks 26 v2 this motor rocks and has a ton of top end. But all in all it just depends on your track and what you want the truck to do.

I'm actually putting in an Axial .28 1S Spec engine with a JP2 pipe. After break-in, I'm going to see if I should gear up. Definitely seems like a great engine for the price (veered away from STS because of the whole gallon break-in).

The axial engine isn't too different from the stock 4.6 engine, they are made in the same factory lol.

and about the gallon break in, most quality engines take up to or over a gallon

The 4.6 doesn't cost 104, though.

I was also told I shouldn't WOT for too long after a gallon goes through the STS.
