Default truggy top speed

Im looking into buying a truggy for bashing and racing. All my other friends have revos so i want it to go 45+ so it could keep up. I like the way the hellfire and mantis look but they only go 35 mph. Jammin goes 45+ mph and it comes with same size engine that the other two have, how is that possible? Is it a weight factor? Also i havent seen what the jammin looks like, but i assume it has the same basic look like the hellfire and mantis? Also if theres any other rtr that goes 45+ let me know. thanks

I just finished breaking it in and the speed it alright, I bash but i race at the LHS with buddies sometimes, what mayhem said, no1 cares about speed in racing, IDK if i can ask a question in someones form but (sorry for being rude) why do the front wheels burn out and balloon while the back ones don't?

Dirtnap, that is called ballooning, which is caused by there being too thin of oil in the center diff. What you need to do is buy some silicone diff. fluid for it, and put it in. I'd say 10k should be good. But clean out whatever was in it before

Molded tire foams also prevent ballooning.

It'll work, but it's still not as effective having most of the power transferred to the front wheels.

I never mentioned anyhting about transfering power to the front wheels...I merely mentioned a simple solution to balloning....Im sure we're all not as smart as you tho.....you seem to have all the answers...especially when you dont even own that particular RC. I could've easily recommended a full diff tear down and set them up with oils instead of the factory flem...but everybody wants to do so....But as always MM knows best.....hey dirtnap...take a look ovr at Truggy Racers...theres tons o guys in there....that actually OWN that truck and can point you in the right direction....theres a big difference in oil weights and some are better to bash with.

in the car action review it said to put 50k oil in the center diff and thicker oil(didnt say exactly how thick) in the front diff. I just got mine so im gonna give it a try and let you know

You know I am. Changing the center diff fluid to thicker fluids will reduce front tire ballooning. Taping the tires will as well, but the truggy will have more power to the front wheels, and this reduces track performance in many cases
