its not official yet, BUT...
The place where duratrax gets their vehicles, the one that brought you the "raze"... has a new truggy based off that platform.
Expect duratrax to release a "Raze ST" or some related named truggy to the market in the next year or 2.
What you see in the picture may not reflect the actual truggy duratrax may release. It'll probably have a super tigre engine, and different electronics.

A duratrax truggy? surely you can't be serious!!!
that's only what, the 8th 1/8 buggy based MT they'd have had in the last 15 years[&:]
and if it's finished now, I seriously doubt Hobbico/Great Planes is going to wait that long to have it in their warehouse with the Raze-T or whatever stickers on it...

The Duratrax Raze IS the same buggy as the one Smartech sells. It is only logical that if Smartech is selling a truggy version, so would Duratrax. I dont see how you can fault him for posting that, thumbs up for having the foresight dude.

duratrax already sells 3 of the vehicles that "smartech" sells. And yes, Duratrax DID say they were to release a truggy sometime in the near future. Oh and also note, your image is a GIF, mine is JPG. You are going to have to look harder for where I yanked this one from.

XTM gets their vehicles from a different company. They don't make OEM for other companies. If you do a search, you'll find out where the molds are made and who owns the company. You'll also find out how many other companies have their products made by that company. Only problem is, you cant get into the website without a company username or password.
Same goes for smartech. I thought they were an OEM facility too, but was banned from a forum for stating that they were, because it was false information. You have to search for it yourself... I did, and since it displeases forum advertisers about where their products come from or who makes what, I'll leave you to do the exploration.
If you also notice, Acme Racing uses most of the same products, but they are hopped up versions of what Smartech sells.
Sure, you can browse other threads with users claiming what Smartech OEM's, but what they claim is false. They have made claims that Smartech makes for: Duratrax, XTM, Carson, and a bunch of other companies.
But, for those of us who remember the history of duratrax, they have had their vehicles made by "flying point"

RE: its not official yet, BUT...
XTM's cars are Great Vigor models, not Smartech.
Also, Smartech is an OEM, but not for as many companies as many people think.
ACtually wait...the XTM 1/5 cars are Smartechs. the 1/8 and 1/10 aren't.

Heres a link
http://www.smartechracing.com/web_20...8t421/main.php
and another
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_6056536/tm.htm
I saw the smartech truggy at least 6 months ago or more. As long as its durable enough there is no problem with re-branding a kit like that.
