a ford f250 is bigger than a porcshe? which one is faster? both of those are solid motors...i would bet if you checked specs that the 21 out revs the 26, so if they ran the same gearing it is likely that the 21 would be faster....

I would think the .21 faster, considering that .21's can rev to higher RPMs than .26's. So I'd say the .21 is faster. I know that the Sportwerks .26 is pretty damn powerful though. Sure it's not an Italien, but for someone on a budget, it's a great engine

no .21's dont rev higher because they are .21's........ a good quality race .21 will rev higher then a sport level .26 due to engineering of the engine ....but the SW .21 and SW .26 share the same design.. and the .26 is going to rev higher as it makes more HP to push the vehicles gearing....

I've been doing alot of research on the turmoil and according to sportwerks, both the .21 and the .26 rev to 34,000 rpms. The .26 has more HP at 2.75, while the .21's HP is at 2.5.

well then they should be equally fast, although the .26 will get up to speed faster, and be able to push higher gearing

then what would be the plus side of having the .21?

I'm thinking/hoping that the specs on there page is wrong. I should look into it more.

they are more fuel efficient is a plus too. And in lighter truggies, having too much power makes it hard to get around the track

GET the .26v2 it by far is faster than the .21 it gets to speed faster it has acceleration its the way to go here it is in my turmoil i went to the track with people running high dollar .21s the .26v2 holds it's own

http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...61234919&hl=en

now with a STS .28 LOL this will smoke both and it's legal

http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...53937801&hl=en

Go to about 1:38 and you'll see the .26v2 taking the short straights it was keeping up with the .21's and they were ws7's 300+ engines it was my first time at a track LOL so go easy on me.

yeah, the STS certainly makes insane power. I am breaking it in right now, and I bet I could beat both without going more than half throttle

well the .26v2 you will have to go a little more than half throttle it spools up pretty fast so you will have to let the STS off the chain!!!
