matrix tr problems
i took my TR to the track today and the front driveshafts kept popping out when the suspension was fully callapsed. like when jumping the pipes lol but i wonder if theres an adjustment i could make to solve this problem thanx

yea where the upper arm (in front) connect make sure you have the ppin going through the upper hole on the shocktower and also check on the knuckle for adjustments cause i can type all day on what to do in the front end so just take a look and do a few adjustments cause i know there not suppose to be like that...........and i cant even force my drivshafts by hand out so you dont have something set up right......[8D]

everything looks to be ok it seem like the out drive needs to be 1/8 inch longer also i run 30% odonnell do i need to shim the head if so how many shims the kit came with two

its the stock rtr and sorry about the kit info i sould of said rtr but anyway i cant force my driveshaft out either but when i hit a tube or wall just right it will pop one pin from the driveshaft leaving it fully collapsed and locked up then i have to wiggle the shaft back in its not by much just need to know if there is something icould do also do i need a head shim for 30%? and what would be the best setup for my diffs for track and bashing somewhere in the 5k-10k-5k range?thanx for the info

i used the smolick setup sheet so ill see what happens next time at the track should make it there by friday also i noticed some rub marks on the front control arms and its from the inner tie rod screw ??? any body else seen this like i said i just changed the setup but it looks as if the arm and tie rod will still rub

the knuckels on the front end..........take the front tires off and that siver knuckle piece theres two bolts one on top one one bottom make sure there tight

i am not real good with this computer stuff but im sure i could figure it out but it is a brand new tr rtr with the suspension locations now like smolick setup sheet and a 6mm spacer in fr and 12mm spacer on rr shocks

if you fully collapse one side of the suspension and rotate the driveshaft so one of the pins is at the bottom of the outdrive cup you can see the pin is right at the edge of the cup

yea but andy (smolnik) is running the proto type so its not completly the same
i went and checked my truggy just for you and my shafts arent even close to the end of the diff cup even when i force it with my hane
try and get someone to help you cause all you need is one pic of the front end and im %110 i will solve your problem i know the matrix truggy /buggy very well.
if you can let me know where your shocks a-arms and all that other stuff are set at

i am at work right now but i will see what i can do when i get home also what about the head shims do i need to use them with 30% and the diffs do ineed to shim them i am gonna change the grease to silicon oil sometime this week

by the way this is not where the shocks were located when this happened they were all the way on the outside holes of the control arm but i took the pictures the way it is now and i think it might still happen but thanks for your help its greatly appreciated

no you dont need ANY EXTRA head shims just the ONE that came with it.....cause you will lose power and you wont gain anything by putting it in[8D]
