Hey, I just aquired a Sut from a friend. It is the one with the pull start. Dad and i tried to get it running but we noticed on the glow plug that it had little metal shavings on it. Dad thinks that the bearing is going out on it. I asked the old owner of the truck about it and he said that he only ran it just enough to break in the engine. This was his first ever RC vehicle and he didnt know to put after run in it and he let it set up for a while. (and that explains the damage to the engine.) I am trying to find a decent engine for it now. Where do you get your parts for your truck? They are hard to find.

I go eather to southeastrc.com or amainhobbies. A really good engine for this truggy is the Hyper .21 8 port at Towerhobbies for only 129.99. That is the only site where u can find the engine.

For dirt i run the HPI dirt bonnz but i would advise u to get the Pro Line crimefighter MT's. The trick is to get really narrow tires for better handaling. For road i actuall use the tires on your car. If u road race squat your car as low as u can to the ground.

Have you taken the motor apart to see what the problem is? Just because the guy didn't use after run oil doesn't mean it's recked.
Some fuels such as Morgans Sidewinder state on the bottle NOT to use after run oil.

OMG I just look at SERC is that really the price of the XUT truggy,[X(] These guys must be living in a fantasy world.
I'm hoping they don't think they are the only guys on the net or dealer for GS. I guess there ad/marketing dept don't
look around and see what the competition is doing, thats just sad.
Then again if you have some fools willing to drop that kind of money then what the heck.

I was also looking at the CEN matrix and the Kyosho ST but went for the XUT I also picked up the JR XS3 Pro radio at the same time, was told that the radios that come with the RTR truggys arn't that great.

It,s good on the track! The turning radius is not as tight as a storm buggy but it has lots of power and lots of traction.
Supposedly the performance is better then the SUT.

I got my XUT pro RTR from [link=http://www.amainhobbies.com/index.php?cPath=1_44_50&sort=2a&filter_id=97]Amain hobbies[/link]
and the radio is located [link=http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_61_119/products_id/3450]here[/link]
You will notice that the 90% kit is more expensive, yet it is the exact same truggy, but doesn't include a radio. The cheaper RTR comes with a radio, glow starter tools and fuel bottle but its the same truggy!!!. If you get one come join us at [link=http://www.truggyracers.com/forum/index.php?showforum=115]truggyracers.com[/link]

I have the nomadio react already so I really don't need a radio plus I have servos already.
The funny thing is that the full RTR is less than the ARTR (90%assem) I will be getting the Full rtr and rip out the crapola radio.

the full rtr is cheaper, most likely because the kit has upgraded stuff

Nope same truggy same parts. look at the original prices there just doing a better deal on the RTR.

I even phoned Amain before I bought mine to confirm with them that they are the same truggys, same parts.
they are coming out with a Team kit, that comes with upgraded part carbon and lightened parts..... It not available at Amain yet.

Good Idea! I left the stock servos in and stripped the gears in the steering one. when I took it apart to see what was wrong with it, I was appalled to see that it did not have metal gears[:'(] The steering servo would make a good back up throttle servo thou!
I stuck a spare Cen GST 144 oz servo in for the steering. and the 80oz Jr for the throttle. No problems anymore.
I'm using a sub C 5 cell pack to run the servos.
