why is the hpi hellfire ss with the engine so cheap? when i got mine, it was $500 with no engine or electronics. now its the same price but with an engine. i have one and i like it. but i just want to know why all the other truggies are more expensive?

I would say, look at the quality of materials used. Losi's, kyosho's, mugen's, all those high end brands are raced by pro's for a reason. Hpi caters more to the average hobbiest where the others look to stay in compitetion levels. Not to say the hellfire is not competitive, maybe just not to the pro standards. I have a mugen mbx5t and it is worlds away difference from my revo. I don't mean performance because they are two different trucks but parts durability and reliability is bar none. That's my opinion anyway.

look at a Rc magazine now of days, look at the big races. all the winners consist of Losi, Mugen, Kyosho, Jammin, Habao, Robtronics. these are top breeds. they win races for a reason. the hellfire was built more for the hobbiest. not a racer.
if your looking in that direction, look at the hot bodies. trust me there going to come back, plus they started the whole truggy era.
