I decided Im getting a truggy and ive narrowed it down the the Matric Arena RTR or the Hyper ST RTR.
What do you guys think? My LHS sells the matrix but dosent have much parts for it so I dont think that matters much.
Ill be doing about half bashing and half racing.

Get the kit versions if you can, RTR usually works out more expensive in the long run.
They are both good though, the ST is a bit more solid (IMO) and parts are cheaper but the Matrix comes with a better radio, the engines are about the same in both truggies, SH vs Mach .28's. both good.
My brief pros/cons
Hyper Pros
-cheap/plentiful parts
-solid
-dialed out of the box
-good steering servo
Cons
-plastic shock towers (strong but..)
-needs better chassis bracing
-crap battery holder
-Diffs are a bit tricky to get at (fixed on the Pro)
-cheap AM radio
-weak throttle/brake servo
Cen Pro's
-looks cool
-decent FM radio
-nice layout
-SH .28 power, although pullstart
-strong 23mm hubs
Cons
-23mm wheels are a PITA to buy/find
-cheap alloy knuckles break easily
-bellcrank is flimsy
-parts not so common and a bit more pricey
(yes I've driven both and have owned Hobao/Cen products)

One more Pro for the CEN is their customer service is awesome. I have 2 and they both have been great Truggies. I had one that the carb screw came loose and it took off wide open and hit a tree. Only broke 5 bucks worth of parts. When I called CEN about the carb they sent me the parts free to fix the carb. I was in the market for 2 so I had to buy the RTR kits. I have upgraded as money allows. Never seen the ST in person so I can't comment on it. I bought the Matrix TR for price and all the good things I read about it on these forms. I called CEN and was treated very well so I bought 2 of them. Good luck what ever you decide.
